The Ukrainian government has announced that citizens of the following countries will no longer require a visa to enter Ukraine for trips lasting up to 90 days:
All EU countries
Switzerland
Norway
Iceland
Liechtenstein
USA
Canada
Japan
Andorra,
the Vatican
Monaco
San Marino
Please note that nationals of other countries will still require a
visa.
With the exception of people from the countries listed above, each
person travelling to Ukraine will need a visa. It is advisable to obtain this in advance before you leave.
Visas are therefore issued by the Ukrainian consulate. The processing
time for visas is generally between 3 days and two weeks, depending on
your nationality and whether you apply in person or by post. It is
sensible to get your visa before you buy your air tickets.
If you are going to stay in a private rented apartment, or with
friends, you will need to give the address on your visa application form.
If you book one of our private apartments you can make a provisional booking subject to obtaining your visa and airtickets. We will supply you with the address of the apartment to put on your visa application.
If you are going to stay in a hotel, you will need to make the booking
before you apply for your visa, and attach the written confirmation of your hotel booking, which we will send you, to your visa application.
Only one address is necessary for the visa application. If you intend
to move around during your stay, this is not a problem. Previously foreign
visitors had to register with the local police in each new location.
This inconvenience for tourists was abolished by presidential decree
in 2001. Once your passport has been stamped at the Boryspil airport
in Kiev or other point of entry you can travel freely within Ukraine.
Kiev stretched out more than 20 km alongshore of the biggest river of Ukraine – the Dnepr. Its area is 827 square kilometers. Kiev is one of the oldest Slavic centers, “the mother of all Russian cities” – as poets said in old times; it is more than 1500 years old. The first settlements on the territory of the modern Kiev appeared 15-20 thousand years ago. The capital of modern Ukraine, the cultural center and the business activity core of the country, according to the legend, was founded by three brothers Kiy, Scheck and Horiv and their sister Lybid. They were amazed by the beauty of Dnepr Hills and stopped to settle here; they named the city after the eldest brother Kiy.

Elitist Art, national traditions coloring and sincere hospitality, developed tourist field level and business activity – all these characterizes modern Lvov – important political, cultural, scientific center of the country. Lvov is situated not far from the western border of Ukraine, in the Carpathian foothills area and occupies the territory more than 155 m2. Its population is about 830 thousand people. The highest city point is a mountain “High Castle” (413 m above sea level). The river Poltva (Bug’s confluent), which coasts were the fundament for the construction, now flows underground.
The wonderful and picturesque city is situated in the southwestern part of Ukraine at the Black Sea coast. To European measures Odessa is a young city; it was founded in the last decade of XVII century and became the forth-largest city (after Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Warsaw) with its own, unlike other cities, original social and economic structure. Being one of the biggest trans-shipment points of Russia and Europe and having free port status for a long time, Odessa becomes one of the richest cities. It was built by order of Catherine the Second in 1794 as sea fortification Russian empire. According to one of legends the first mayor of the city duke de Rishel’e (Frenchman by birth) decided to build the city more beautiful than Paris.
World famous balneal resort “Truskavets” is situated in the picturesque valley of Eastern Carpathians foothills in 110 km from Lvov city.On the territory of the resort and its outskirts various types of mineral waters were founded and now they are outwardly and inwardly used. But not everybody goes there to drink mineral water “Naftusya” – fresh water with slight smell of sulphuretted hydrogen and after-taste of oil. A low mineralization level, the presence of active ions and organic components has a salutary influence on the bowels operation and kidneys (stimulates spontaneous release of kidney-stones), have the positive effect. The healing power of “Naftusya” is one of the main reason of the successful medical treatment of patients with pathology of urino-genital organs. It also has cholagogue, disintoxicational effect, activates ductless glands operation, removes radionuclids and slags from the organism, enhances host defenses stability.
